Sheffield Satyananda Yoga School
Sheffield Yoga School was established in 2003. In 2009 we were pleased and honoured to receive authorisation from Swami Niranjanananda to form Sheffield Satyananda Yoga School (www.sheffieldyogaschool.co.uk). We now have a range of classes suitable for all ages and abilities. We offer Beginner and Intermediate level classes, as well as Yoga for Pregnancy.
We run Sheffield Yoga Days. These monthly workshops bring some of the best Yoga teachers in the UK to Sheffield to share their knowledge and inspiration.
Hannah Penn (BWY Dip) and Chris Noon (BWY Dip) are fully qualified by the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY), recognised by the Sports Council as the governing body for Yoga in the UK.
In 2007 Chris and Hannah completed an Integration Course with Swami Vedantananda Saraswati in Satyananda Yoga. They are now qualified to teach a wide range of Yoga practices, including Yoga Nidra, in the Satyananda tradition.
Aims of the School
At Sheffield Satyananda Yoga School we aim to teach Yoga safely and systematically. Students learn in a progressive manner, appropriate to each individual. We encourage students to make Yoga a part of their daily lives, through regular class attendance and home practice. We provide home practice plans which enable you to learn techniques practised in class at your own pace.
